AfterQuery Becomes Y Combinator’s Fastest-Ever Unicorn, Valued at $3.2B

AfterQuery has reportedly achieved a valuation of $3.2 billion, making it the fastest unicorn in Y Combinator’s history. This comes just five months after the AI training-data startup secured a $30 million Series A funding round at a valuation of $300 million in April.
Co-founded by two young entrepreneurs aged 22 and 23, AfterQuery’s rapid ascent is attributed to its innovative approach in AI development. The team participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 cohort, and Y Combinator partner Gustaf Alströmer confirmed this milestone marks a record for the accelerator.
As of its last update in April, AfterQuery boasted an annualized revenue run rate of $100 million and collaborated with notable clients like Nvidia and Motif Technologies. Unlike traditional startups, AfterQuery focuses on engaging knowledge professionals to train AI models not just for accuracy, but to replicate the problem-solving methodologies of leading experts.
