Apple’s New Conversational Siri: A Leap Towards LLM-Powered Interactions

Apple is working on enhancing its virtual assistant, Siri, by integrating advanced large language models (LLMs), according to sources cited by Bloomberg. This new version of Siri aims to create a more conversational and user-friendly experience, which comes as Apple seeks to stay competitive in the rapidly advancing AI landscape. Competitors like Google have introduced features that make their assistants significantly more natural to interact with, such as Google’s Gemini Live.

The revamped Siri is expected to completely replace the current interface users are familiar with and is slated for release in the spring of 2026. This upcoming feature will resemble OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode while retaining access to the same personal information and applications that Siri currently supports.
