Nous Research, the company behind the popular open-source Hermes Agent, has recently confirmed a valuation of $1.5 billion following a successful $90 million Series B funding round. This round was spearheaded by Robot Ventures, with notable participation from investors such as Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital. This latest funding boosts the startup’s total investment to $158 million since its inception three years ago.
The Hermes Agent has garnered significant popularity, being cloned over 24 million times and reportedly accounting for about 2.5% of global AI token usage. With this new capital, Nous Research aims to expand into the enterprise sector with a new offering called "Hermes for Businesses." This service will enable companies to create customized AI agents capable of managing complex workflows while ensuring data privacy and security.
