Meta Releases Muse Wonder, Its First Frontier AI Model

Meta’s Superintelligence Lab has introduced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, its first models positioned as frontier AI systems. The company says the larger models outperform its lightweight Muse Spark on benchmarks and handle complex work, including coding, more effectively.

According to Meta’s model card, the models score comparably to Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra. Meta described the release as the next step in its scaling efforts and a move toward what it calls “personal superintelligence.”

Muse Wonder is available through Meta’s Model API for $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. Muse Wonder Full is limited to Muse Code subscribers and will not be offered through the API. Both models are also slated to power Meta’s Muse agent.

Meta highlighted the models’ ability to retain and bring together information users share over time, a capability it calls “active memory.” The company said Muse Wonder scored higher on MemoryBench than Fable, Opus, and Astra. Research scientist Kavya Kopparapu said the team worked to help the model remember what matters to users over days, weeks, and months.

The release is Meta’s first frontier-model launch since Scale AI founder Alexandr Wang reorganized the company’s AI efforts in August 2025. Since then, Meta has released Muse Spark and its Muse agent, while holding back from state-of-the-art releases of the kind associated with OpenAI and Anthropic.

Meta said the models were trained at its Prometheus data center in central Ohio, which opened earlier this year.
