For example, by integrating with Zapier, users can enable Claude to execute workflows across thousands of applications. A command can prompt Claude to fetch sales data from HubSpot, review a calendar, and draft meeting notes, all without manual input into each individual app.
The integration can also revolutionize tasks for teams utilizing Jira and Confluence. Claude could handle activities like drafting specifications, summarizing lengthy documents, or generating multiple Jira tickets simultaneously. It might proactively identify potential project obstacles by analyzing related data.
Moreover, by linking with Intercom, Claude could interact with its AI assistant to automate responses, such as creating bug reports from customer feedback, making the entire process from receiving feedback to implementing solutions more streamlined.
Developers have also been given straightforward tools to create custom integrations, estimating that a new connection could be set up within about half an hour. This flexibility allows businesses to link Claude to proprietary internal systems or niche industry software.
In addition to tool integrations, Claude’s ‘Advanced Research’ capability has been enhanced. Previously capable of basic searches across the web and Google Workspace files, the new mode focuses on conducting comprehensive investigations into complex queries. This feature intelligently segments requests, searches multiple sources including linked applications, and compiles results into detailed reports. While more complex inquiries might require additional time—up to 45 minutes—for completion, the efficiency gained compared to traditional manual research is significant.
Crucially, Claude provides clear sourcing for all information used in its outputs, linking back directly to the original resources, ensuring transparency in its findings.
These advancements are being rolled out in beta for users on Anthropic’s Max, Team, and Enterprise subscription plans, with accessibility for Pro plan users expected soon. Additionally, the standard web search functionality is now universally available for all paid Claude.ai plans without geographical restrictions.
