Neocloud Lambda Secures $1 Billion in Debt for Chip Expansion

Neocloud Lambda, a company specializing in AI cloud computing, has successfully secured $1 billion in private debt to acquire Nvidia’s AI chips. The intention is to lease these chips specifically to Microsoft, as reported by Bloomberg. JP Morgan Chase facilitated this arrangement, and Lambda anticipates rapid deployment of the chips to begin generating revenue swiftly, allowing for quick debt repayment.
This recent funding marks the latest addition to Lambda’s financing strategy, which has included multiple loans aimed at enhancing GPU infrastructure for specific clients. Earlier in May, the company arranged a $1 billion secured credit facility, and just this week, it announced the closing of a $926 million loan designated for Nvidia GB300 GPUs, which are part of a contract for deployment to Nvidia.
In addition to this private debt, Lambda is reportedly negotiating a $3 billion pre-IPO round. The company previously raised $1.5 billion in November 2025, achieving a post-money valuation of $5.43 billion, according to PitchBook.
The broader trend reveals that Lambda is not alone in utilizing debt as a funding mechanism in the AI sector; data from Bloomberg indicates that over $400 billion in AI-related debt has been raised globally by banks and tech firms in 2026.
