Crusoe Secures $3.9B Investment to Develop Large Data Centers and Innovative Small Modular “AI Factories
Data center developer Crusoe has successfully raised $3.9 billion in a Series F funding round, elevating its valuation to $30.9 billion. The financing was led by Atreides Management, Mubadala Capital, and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from notable investors like Founders Fund, Nvidia, and Qatar Investment Authority.
In conjunction with the funding, Crusoe appointed three new board members, including Thomas Seifert of Cloudflare and JB Straubel, founder of Redwood Materials, who had previously invested in Crusoe. The fresh capital will primarily support ongoing data center projects, notably a significant site in Abilene, Texas, that serves OpenAI, along with smaller, transportable AI factories designed for quick deployment.
